Roof Repair in Woodstock, GA
Most roof leaks we trace in Woodstock come from the same few details: a cracked pipe boot, a chimney that was sealed instead of flashed, or a valley that has worn through. Those are repairs, not new roofs. We find where the water is actually getting in, photograph it, and fix that spot properly.

Common roof repairs in Woodstock
Pipe boots on 1990s and 2000s roofs
Towne Lake and the neighborhoods around it went up largely in the 1990s and early 2000s. Many of those homes have had their roof replaced once already, and the rubber pipe boots on those second roofs are now at the 10 to 12 year mark where they crack. It is the single most common leak we find here.
Cedar shake and composite repairs
Woodstock has more shake and composite roofs than most of our area. A damaged section can usually be matched and rebuilt so it disappears from the ground. We did exactly that on a Woodstock home where two other companies had quoted a full replacement.
Storm damage after Cherokee County hail
Hail tracks across Cherokee County on its own schedule. Bruised or missing shingles on one or two slopes are often a repair, and we document them before anything is fixed so the photos are there if you file a claim.
What we repair
- Roof leaks and leak detection. We trace water to where it actually enters, which is often several feet from the ceiling stain.
- Pipe boots. The rubber collars around plumbing vents usually start cracking around year 10 to 12.
- Chimney, wall and step flashing. Rebuilt properly, not covered in sealant.
- Valleys and crickets. Worn or poorly built valleys and the diverter behind a chimney.
- Vents and skylights. Reflashed instead of resealed.
- Missing, lifted or damaged shingles. From wind, hail or falling limbs, matched as closely as possible.
- Emergency tarping. Same day when water is actively coming in.
How a roof repair works with us
We walk the roof, check the attic, and photograph what we find. You get a written report that says repair, replace, or fine for now. About half of the roofs we look at need a repair, not a replacement, and we say so even when it costs us a sale. If you go ahead, we fix the source of the problem, and our workmanship is covered by a 10-year warranty.
Repair or replace?
We look at four things: the roof’s age (shingles in Georgia usually last 25 to 30 years), whether damage is spread across several slopes, the condition of the decking from the attic, and how many times the roof has already been patched. If a repair will hold, we recommend the repair. If it will not, we show you why. Read more in our repair or replace guide.
Where we work in Woodstock
We make repair calls from Towne Lake through downtown Woodstock and out toward Little River, and Woodstock is one of our most frequent stops in Cherokee County. See our full Woodstock roofing page for replacement and storm services.
Roof repair questions from Woodstock homeowners
How fast can you get out for a leak in Woodstock?
Morning calls often get a same-day or next-day visit. If water is coming in right now, tell us when you call and we will tarp it the same day so it stops while we plan the real fix.
My neighbor just replaced their roof. Do I need one too?
Not necessarily. When a street was built in the same year, a neighbor's new roof is a fair signal to have yours looked at. About half of the roofs we inspect need a repair instead, and we will tell you which one you have.
Can you match my shingles?
Usually, yes. We match color and profile as closely as the current product line allows, and composite shake is often easier to match than people expect.
